Notes
After a while, it gets rather boring putting the same notes now and again. So here’s the deal with the notation I’m using to annotate the chords.
- I write the chords in a detailed manner. So some chords are actually extremely difficult
to play. Simplify the chords before playing by dropping the bass line and add9, add2, add11, and so on. Now and then, when I have extra time I’ll put up simplified chords. - I use (nested) square brackets to denote the timing of the chords. The square brackets usually have 2 or 3 beats inside. The whole first level brackets count as 1 unit length beats. The second level brackets count as 1/2 of 1/3 unit length beats, depending on the number of beats contained in the first level bracket. So, if you see [A [Am7 Dm7]], that means A is played half of the unit length, and then continued by Am7 and Dm7 both are played a quarter of the unit length.
